Global have always enjoyed good business links and building very good relationships in Norway. Following various discussions and visits to the Bergen Yard, a recent visit by Tor Gjertsen, Project Manager Bergen Group Offshore has resulted in a Memorandum of Agreement being signed to the mutual benefit of both companies going forward.

Tor Gjertsen indicated his pleasure by saying, “we are happy to announce the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement between Bergen Group Hanoytangen and Global Energy Group. The intention of the Agreement is to strengthen our working muscles in the future target area within the offshore industry. It is also a strategic important movement to ensure stronger connections to the market relations in the UK sector.” Tor went on to say, “Global energy Group is known as a company with good experience in the IRM and classifications of drilling and well interventions Rigs. They have performed well and have high focus at HSE.
The company is already working for other companies in Norway and are familiar with our working culture and high requirements to quality and HSE. Global’s Vice Chairman is delighted to have signed the Agreement and was quick to praise Bergen Yard Hanoytangen and the quality of the yard by saying, “The yard is an ideal location with easy access close to the main shipping fairway along the Norwegian coast outside Bergen. Along with the provision of all the key services we would require quayside.

It has five Quays with Ro ro ramp and no weight limitation, good deepwater facilities with at-shore mooring facility with depths from 60 - 90 metres. The dry dock facility with its large dimensions is specially designed and suited for large and heavy structures that require deep water and there is a good access down to the dock bottom. If we add the excellent storage, offices and accommodation it is a package that is particularly attractive to us and to our client base. I do feel our companies will benefit from this new Agreement that will allow for us looking to introduce good business into the Bergen Yard. We have good knowledge and experience of working in Norway and I would like to thank Tor and his team for their professional approach in moving this Agreement forward and we look forward to working with Bergen Yard Hanoytangen for many years to come.”
